Verizon sent me a new SIM card to make sure I didn't have a bad SIM - but both SIMs I have work in an old iPhone for Verizon. Spoke with Apple - they confirm that it's still locked by AT&T. I have followed every tip on how to unlock online including factory reset through phone, factory reset through computer, restarting, etc. ![]() Every time I'm transferred to tech support, I get disconnected. All see that the unlock has been approved and cannot explain why it's still locked. I spoke with 6 different people on the phone at AT&T. Please contact Apple for more information." Please insert another SIM card from a supported carrier or request that this iPhone be unlocked by your carrier. This is not a hardware issue with the iPhone. The SIM card that you currently have installed in this iPhone is from a carrier that is no supported under the activation policy that is currently assigned by the activation server. Rec'd this error message when I tried to authorize account: I inserted Verizon SIM card into iPhoneX. Verizon confirmed that AT&T iPhone X can be used on the Verizon network. After my iPhone contract with AT&T Went online to request AT&T to unlock the iPhone X so it could be used on Verizon. When I left employment, I transferred my number over to Verizon. (I transferred my personal number to my employer's AT&T account that they paid for - but I purchased the iPhone). My contract with AT&T ended after 2 years with a former employer on 5/18/20. ![]()
